FFFB Ploughing Match 2026

FFFB Ploughing Match

On Saturday 26th September, we were delighted to attend the FFFB Ploughing Match, where we hosted a trade stand in a truly stunning location. Positioned with panoramic views across the competition fields, we enjoyed a fantastic vantage point to watch the day’s events while welcoming visitors throughout the day.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity to catch up with many of our existing clients, and it was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces. We were also pleased to make connections with new clients and discuss how we can support them in the future. Events such as the FFFB Ploughing Match are invaluable for strengthening relationships within the local farming and rural community.

Our stand proved to be a popular meeting point, with visitors enjoying a selection of refreshments, including freshly cooked bacon rolls and homemade cakes. The warm and friendly atmosphere made for plenty of enjoyable conversations throughout the day.

One of the highlights of the event was seeing traditional countryside skills being celebrated and preserved. The ploughing competitions showcased impressive levels of skill and craftsmanship, while the hedgelaying demonstrations highlighted another important rural tradition. It was particularly special to see horse-drawn ploughing in action, providing a fascinating reminder of farming’s rich heritage.

Adding to the success of the day was the weather, which was unseasonably warm for late September. The sunshine and clear skies created perfect conditions for competitors, exhibitors and visitors alike, making the event even more enjoyable.

We are pleased to announce that John Baylis won the luxury hamper in our “guess the number of rings in the jar” prize with the nearest estimate. Our congratulations go to John who has long standing associations with the FFFB, having hosted the event several times of the years at his farm.

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to attending future events and continuing to support the farming community while celebrating the traditions that remain at the heart of rural life.
