On 7 October, our team had the pleasure of attending the Royal South Buckinghamshire Agricultural Association’s (RSBAA) 181st Annual Ploughing Match.
Visitors enjoyed watching an impressive range of tractors and heavy horses demonstrating their ploughing skills, showcasing both modern farming machinery and the enduring heritage of traditional farming methods.
A delicious lunch provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to catch up with friends, colleagues, and fellow industry professionals. The event was extremely well attended. For us, it was particularly rewarding to meet with a number of our existing clients and to make new connections and discuss how we can support farming businesses with their insurance needs in an ever-changing agricultural landscape.
One of the highlights of the day was the after-dinner speech delivered by Sally Stockings, who gave an insightful and engaging presentation on managing change within farming businesses. Her practical observations and thought-provoking messages resonated with many of those present and provided plenty of food for thought for the future.
An array of awards were presented across a wide range of ploughing and agricultural classes, recognising the skill, dedication, and hard work of competitors. Congratulations to all the winners and participants who helped make the event such a success.
