We want to ensure that you have access to travel insurance policies that cover more serious medical conditions. The following factors determine the relevance of this information to you:
- You have not been offered a quotation or have been declined by an insurer due to a medical condition
- Your policy has been cancelled, wholly or partly, due to a medical condition
- You have been offered a policy with a medical condition exclusion that cannot be removed
- You have been offered a policy with a medical condition premium of £100 or more
- You have been offered a policy with an unknown medical condition premium
- To assist you in finding suitable coverage, the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has launched a travel insurance directory on their website. You can access it HERE.
The directory features a panel of travel insurance providers specialising in covering serious medical conditions. If you prefer speaking to someone instead of using the website, BIBA’s ‘Find Insurance Service’ operates a contact centre (0370 950 1790) available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Using the directory will make it easier for you to navigate the available market and increase your chances of finding a firm that:
