We were pleased to attend the FFFB Ploughing Match at Barrington Park Estate on 27th September, especially as the 2024 Match was cancelled due to wet weather conditions. Despite the very chilly weather, spirits were high and the dedication of competitors and supporters alike was clear from the moment we arrived.
The cold conditions certainly didn’t deter visitors and we enjoyed a steady flow of people and friends stopping by our stand for a warm chat. It was a great opportunity to catch up with clients, hear how harvest had gone and to discuss plans & insurance needs for the season ahead.
Out in the fields, the ploughing competitions showcased impressive skill and precision across all classes—from heavy horses, vintage and classic tractors to modern machinery. The commitment of those taking part, even in the biting wind, was admirable and added to the strong sense of community that defines the event.
