County Insurance Services acquires Heritage Insurance Agency

County Insurance Services Ltd are pleased to announce they have acquired Heritage Insurance Agency Ltd, based in Sudbury, Suffolk, from 1st October 2021.
The acquisition will see County able to provide several routes to insurers for both direct and broker clients for Thatch, Unoccupied and Non-Standard construction households.

County, who already look after over 2,000 homes across the UK, have worked closely with Heritage for many years. The move has been welcomed by staff at both companies.

Malcolm Sydenham, chairman of County Insurance Services and founding director, said: “We’re very pleased to have reached a deal with Sheree and her team. Heritage is a trusted brand in the thatch insurance market, and we really look forward to making it part of our thatch and household proposition. Working closely with our insurers, we will deliver sustainable insurance coverage for this unique part of the UK household market”.

Heidi and Vicci have become part of the County team and will continue to look after the Heritage customers themselves and provide the personal service that the Heritage clients have always enjoyed. Policyholders will receive letters confirming the change in the coming days and brokers will also be updated by the team in Suffolk.

Sheree McCrory, who has operated Heritage since it’s beginning, said: “We’ve known and dealt with Malcolm and his team for a number of years and it feels like the perfect fit. I’m proud of what the team and I have achieved in the specialist household insurance market and now it’s time to focus on other business activities I hold”.
