Having spent the Thursday and Friday on our stand at the Thame Sheep Fair, our Out in the field team came in numbers to Blakesley Show. We went over to the cattle & sheep judging and managed to speak to a number of exhibitors and also got speaking to one of our clients who was judging the sheep. There were significant number of entries in young handler’s sheep classes, with some barely reaching the heights of the sheep that they were showing!
Back on the stand, complete with bunting in county colours celebrating our 40th year of trading, we welcomed lots of clients, retired farmers and met lots of new farmers who were keen to discuss their insurance with us. Oliver’s mum, Ann, served up a wonderful Fillet steak BBQ to our guests, alongside our delicious home-made cakes (once again from Amy at County) whilst the hook a duck competition was also very popular, raising money for our chosen charity this year for Churchill partners in Oxford for cancer research.
Our Olympics quiz was a hit and Richard Marshall won our prize hamper. It was another great day for us all at Blakesley.
