Keen cyclists in their spare time, the pair will be cycling 50 miles as part of the Le Tour, Faringdon this Saturday July 9, 2022. Their team name is the aptly titled “Over 50s do 50”.
On helping support our charity partner, Tish said: “Daybreak is such a worthwhile cause and what better way to support them than doing something Dave & I really enjoy too! The valuable work they provide in giving day care to dementia sufferers deserves support and I’m proud we can get behind them as a company”.
She added: “With four centres across the Oxfordshire county your donations really do help support a cause that affects many across our local area”
County has partnered with Daybreak as a charity partner for the year after staff chose, via company-wide vote, who to support locally.
Daybreak offer a wide variety of activities including gentle exercise programmes, games to provide mental stimulation and music therapy. The power of music to unlock memories and enable social interaction is an increasingly key feature of dementia care. The charity also gives carers advice and support as well as sign-post them to other services in the area.
David Lamb who is cycling with Tish Saturday said: “Tish and I work very closely together and when she approached me to ask if I would cycle for charity I leapt at the chance. It’s so important to support a local charity that means so much to a number of our clients and local community.
